Basses Returns For 2011

The SB14 combines the best of both worlds, Music Man’s rich history combined with modern styling and an easy playing neck.

We use a solid contoured basswood body for a light weight body with warm tone. The nut is a narrow 38 mm for friendly and comfortable fingering. The 34” scale neck is attached via a 5 bolt neck joint. The neck heel is contoured and rounded for easy access to the entire fingerboard.

An active 3 band preamp is combined with the Music Man designed SB14 pickup. A 3rd Hum cancelling phantom coil zaps all the noise out and allows for series, parallel and true single coil operation with no hum.

The SB14 uses a Music Man® designed pickup with a 3rd coil – hidden underneath the pickup for true hum cancelling. The 3-way switch offers series, single and parallel wiring combinations. The basswood body is contoured.
